Accurate Calculations: The biggest challenge faced during the development process was to develop a hassle-free calculator for students to perform the most accurate calculations, while staying within the app. The Scientific and Graphing Calculators had to be smart enough to do so.
Test Mode: The second challenge was to develop a smart Test-Mode for Students to eliminate the chances of cheating during a test.
Calculators Development: The app was first developed for iOS, the development challenge remained “how to develop Calculator especially Graphing Calculator in iOS native.
The Solutions
Accurate Calculations: Tens of thousands of test cases were carefully executed to fine tune accuracy of calculations. A highly dedicated team of math experts and testers was used to verify results. The brilliant coordination between math experts, testers, and development team made the seemingly impossible task to overcome each challenge. .
Test Mode: This could only be achieved if Students are unable to perform any other activity on their mobile phones when they are in Test-Mode. So, when a Student is in Test-Mode, all the other activities are locked to prevent Student from cheating. Any student leaving the test mode during the test is immediately tigers a notification to the respective teacher.
Calculators Development: As this challenge came along, it was timely decided by our development team to develop the calculator part using JavaScript. This came as an intelligent timely decision and later proved to be a life saver. The most valuable learning is that, selecting the right technology for complex projects plays a pivotal part in the project success.
